paulus 26
I don't see how the bbc can recover from this with any credibility in tact. It looks like someone is starting to grass, watch the snowball effect.... I believe they thought if the battened down the hatches long enough then they could ride out this storm, however it seems as if someone is intent on scuttling the ship The licence payer. I've got a bet on who's going to be arrested next. I do believe some with far more influence than the license payer is pushing this agenda, After all why now? I think it's the BBC themselves. By looking as though they are capitulating to public outcry, they are distancing themselves (so they think) from the nonces and hailing themselves as the good guys. They covered it up for so long, I don't believe, all of a sudden they have developed a conscience. Something or someone is driving this into the open
walshie 2,804
i wonder whether most of these celebs put nonce on their cv,s sounds to me like anyone with pedophile tendencies is working for or has worked for the BBC .. I think it's far more worriyng that than Kay. Obviously it is easy for victims to identify celebs, but for each celeb, how many non-celebs are there that are practically anonymous? This is just the BBC. How about the now defunct television stations like Thames TV and so on?
sussex 5,777
Regardless of who knew what when the responsibility to know right from wrong is in the hands of the person committing the crime ...if all these people arrested hadn't put themselves in that position there wouldn't be a problem..!!

I dont doubt for a second that this kind of thing is just limited to the BBC employees , people who work directly with kids are being investigated daily , we just never hear about it because its not news worthy & there not in the public eye

If someone else had known and said something at the time then it wouldn't have been able to carry on for decades. The BBC must have known and by there actions are just a s guilty as the perpetrators

marshman 7,758
The trouble with Brucey is he still very active in the BBC where as the others careers are all over, maybe it'll come out when he's dead and buried like Saville?

The problem is the bbc will be protected the same way as if this was happening to politicians, police etc. they are part of the cooperation. I think when it comes to matters like this it should be investigated out with this country, say by America. Too many with interests wanting to bury it to get a proper hearing.
