Saluqihounds 150
Nothing clearly being Saluki's,lol, what else could a saluki possibly do other course hares on massive fields. I don't actually remember ever saying my dogs are no good for big land though. I really don't see what this thread has to with my dogs anyway. 1 Quote Link to post
shell 42
Are you the guy who imported some Tazis and had a bit of bother fetching them into the country at the time? Just interested because it's a couple of years now since the Tazi was fetched in and was wondering how they'd gone on and how they compare to the Salukis we have in this country. All the best Malc Quote Link to post

All the best Malc I have only imported one bitch Malc, I didn't have any bother getting her in though. There was another guy (I think David was his name) who imported two Tazi bitches from Russia but they both ended up in a RSPCA shelter of all places and were neutered and rehomed when he split with his wife. The breeder wasn't too impressed as she wanted them returned to her but the RSPCA would have none of it. Quote Link to post
shell 42
am i right in believing that the Tazis are slightly heavier than the salukis? I'm not saying salukis are thick, as I've seen ones that have proved me wrong, but are there brains wired the same? Before Paul Sagar died, bless him, I was quite impressed by one of his salukis, just how biddable it was. But, you're always fed lines about what they are like and you should make your own mind up. all the best, malc Quote Link to post

Their mindset is similar in a general sense but still some differences all the same, my Salukis are very fiery, where as Nura is much more measured in her ways. Quote Link to post
