I wouldn't say they are any more abused than other breeds, I would say staffs get the most abuse, simple by the numbers of them about.

All animal abuse is on the rise at the moment, its due to many things, the throw away culture we live in being one. but my guess is that people

are so far away from nature now, that some do not even think it is abuse.

There will always be c**ts, and some of those c**ts own dogs.

Always said it, lucher owners are either the very best or the very worst of owners. The best have a dog that is a part of the family 'pack' and is encouraged to follow its hunting instinct, and will be kept until they draw their last breath wether fantastic worker or average. The worst will shunt dogs around all the time, blaming each animal in turn for not making the grade when in fact, it is they, the owner that is lacking in any skill at working with a dog, some...sadly are so cruel and unfeeling that you end up with dogs in the f***ing disgraceful state that j.dog found his in. Throw away culture...spot on. You see lads nowadays that just arent thinking long term, the 'latest' pup is just like the last Ps3 game or trainers they bought and quickly get the same level of neglect and disinterest, only difference being that the dog is a living, breathing, thinking, feeling force of nature...not just another consumer product.

The reason lurcher/staffies are high on the abused list is their popularity amongst retarded, useless, feckless, circus feakshow b*****ds...you never see these kind with labradors, setters, border collies, retrievers and the like...and that's a fecking fact...and I would go as far as to say if the hunting ban hadn't been passed half of these b*****ds wouldn't have lurchers...be no fun in somethng that was legal...jmo...

before I moved to the area I live now I would have agreed with you,but now I've seen far worse owners who have labs etc in the burbs , if these c**ts had pit bulls and or lurchers there'd be chaos.
