riohog 5,750
im allways amazed at the general concensuss of coments on these , saluki threads ."". what wll it do for the coursing dogs in the u/k "? alot seem to think the saluki /tazi is a one trick pony .. well they are not !!. but if you give them the oppertunaty and there head you will see diferent . im not trying to convince anyone of the capabilities of a good tazi .i dont need to. 6000 years of history of the tazi as a hunting dog can do that 1 Quote Link to post

Saluqihounds 150
no need to answer i just googled it,,, most of the country lies between 200 and 300 metres,,, hardly a need for oxygen tanks of course they have got some big fook of mountains,, but that land just looked like the steps It's a massive variable country Tomo, I was never below 600m upon landing in Almaty and as high as 1700m near the border with Kyrgyzstan and that was only 10 miles from Almaty I frequently felt the effects of the altitude. Temperatures ranges from 40c in the summer to -40c in winter, hence the feathered ears and the ability for dramatic coat change between summer and winter, thats well out of the comfort zones of most lurchers] but you are right some areas are no different to the areas I hunt here is Scotland especially around Sunkar where they hunted roe, fox, badger and boar with Tazi. And for the record I've turned away absolutely scores of people who have contacted me for a pup no one will be getting a pup from me unless I am 100% sure they are the right kind of people for these dogs.
