Kazakh Tazi Video

Recommended Posts

im allways amazed at the general concensuss of coments on these , saluki threads ."". what wll it do for the coursing dogs in the u/k "?

alot seem to think the saluki /tazi is a one trick pony .. well they are not !!. but if you give them the oppertunaty and there head you will see diferent .

im not trying to convince anyone of the capabilities of a good tazi .i dont need to. 6000 years of history of the tazi as a hunting dog can do that ;)

one thing for sure the lads on the video are better stockmen than most of the clowns on here they depend on what they catch and use every bit of it unlike tossing it in ditches and talking shite on we

Love the way that some of you know everything about a breed of dogs from 1 youtube vid.

i dont know anyone who enjoys tossing a hare in a ditch its the crazy laws that force us to leave game not worth the hassle of taking it home most times

i like watching hunting dogs in other countrys,,and i dont think ive ever critasisized,,, and im not about to start,,,

but im prompted to a sugestion by a post earlier in the thread,,,, it sugested they would be no good here,,and our lurchers would be no good there,,, well im not so sure.... obviously this is just a theory ,, but it looked just like rolling grass land to me ,,, and most lurchers in the uk catch on similar land.

be an intresting experiment to find out,,,, who's got a van and fancys a trip??.....lol

no need to answer i just googled it,,, most of the country lies between 200 and 300 metres,,, hardly a need for oxygen tanks :whistling: of course they have got some big fook of mountains,, but that land just looked like the steps

the aria around the Caspian is low level but for example round Almaty it will rise to 2/3000 feet average is calculated as the majority of land is around 2/300 mtres 900 feet giving a low average but the hunting areas are predominantly at higher altitudes do you find golden eagles flying at 200 metres ? lol

It's a massive variable country Tomo, I was never below 600m upon landing in Almaty and as high as 1700m near the border with Kyrgyzstan and that was only 10 miles from Almaty I frequently felt the effects of the altitude. Temperatures ranges from 40c in the summer to -40c in winter, hence the feathered ears and the ability for dramatic coat change between summer and winter, thats well out of the comfort zones of most lurchers] but you are right some areas are no different to the areas I hunt here is Scotland especially around Sunkar where they hunted roe, fox, badger and boar with Tazi.

And for the record I've turned away absolutely scores of people who have contacted me for a pup no one will be getting a pup from me unless I am 100% sure they are the right kind of people for these dogs.
