Neoleaver 55
How is a pot filling lurcher got anything to do with taking fox enless you was into eating that kind of creature lol Like I said mate, she was my best pot filler, just mentioned the fact that she was never interested in vermin control, being older and softer nowadays neither will I when the new pup arrives. You'll have to forgive someone the chance to waffle about long lost, sorely missed dogs....if you ever have dogs that mean as much to you as they did to me you probly wont be as pedantic...atb. 2 Quote Link to post
Neoleaver 55
I feel for you fella, having 2 dogs nicked must be heart breaking. As regards teeth, you cant eat the ginger fellas so no great miss imo, as the man said, best pot fillers, regards, buster. No absolutely mate, you cant eat them...as a young man I thought very differently about hunting....times change and people change, my hunting now is part of an overall strategy of self reliance, to provide meat for the table. Sorry to say I regret some of the indiscriminate killing I did years ago. 1 Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
This lad is proving a very good pot filler, well my freezer hasnt been empty since i got him 3/4 grey 1/4 beddy and 26"tts... And one with my bitch... She is a good bitch and has taken plenty of game but there is just something about the dog. He is a natural hunter and if its there he will find it. But equally he is biddable enough to be a good ferreting dog and marks very well as well as holding in nets. He has got a knack to being in the right place at the right time and takes anything fur or feather (within the confines of the law of course). Gaz Edited May 7, 2013 by Gaz_1989 2 Quote Link to post

I've been very lucky taking on 2 adult dogs and both being absolute diamonds. I'm considering a pup from them both in 12 months but that's another story. Her foot is ok now. I will send you pics of how it's healed on email. She's caught a few bunnys since the injury and fingers crossed it hasn't affected her long term. Gaz. Quote Link to post
