Rabbiting man 1,192
My 19 inch tall Collie/Whippet bitch I own now, has a rabbit hunter this little bitch is only coming 11 month old & she as shown how capable & how quick a leaner she is. Now having had & been around the Greyhound/Collie type lurchers & had fun with them, but since I took on this little bitch I do think the Whippet x's & the Whippet is the way forward for my rabbiting. 1 Quote Link to post

It's a lot better for her to out & about than been stuck in doors all the time. Quote Link to post
fitchet 788
This dog doesnt really catch in numbers but always seems to put something in the bag. Thats what a potfiller means to me. 5 Quote Link to post

buster gonads 862
30 years ago i had a 3/4 GH 1/4 DH, 27 TTS and 70 odd pound, worked most days, usully the first hour and the last hour of daylight, fed me and mine for a few years, mainly Hares but took plenty of other stuff too, worked to hand signels at distance, very rearly we came home empty handed, we usully came home with a mixed bag, i'd give my right arm to have him back, my biggest regret is not having a pup off him before he died , atb, buster. Neoleaver 55
my collie 3/4 grey was the best pot filler I had, took rabbit hare pheasant (she was stolen 2002), fast agile, clever, strike from impossible angles, she'd bust into a hedge flat out...sometimes I'd wince at the sight of it....but she'd come out wi summat in her gob more often than not. Never was a deer dog tho and didnt do teeth...I honestly think she thought she judt had to 'see em off' she get up the back of em and do the running pirouette with em teeth flashing then watch em dissapear into the distance and come trotting back to me all puffed up and impressed with herself. Now my beddy/grey 'Jam', he had a pathological hatred of the gingers and there was no f***ing about, straight in, job done, sadly also nicked with the other back in 2002. Quote Link to post
buster gonads 862
I feel for you fella, having 2 dogs nicked must be heart breaking. As regards teeth, you cant eat the ginger fellas so no great miss imo, as the man said, best pot fillers, regards, buster. Quote Link to post
