WHATS A SAPLING THOUGHT THAT WAS A YOUNG TREE

I will wager that 99% of the top coursing dogs past and present wernt waited with until 15 month before they were galloped, most would have had plenty of game put infront of them by then and the goodun

I think a lot of them self enter when out with older dogs mooching about, at some point summat always gets up, and its game on, pups learn best thsi way I think, less pressure then straight walk and slip, often start with young rabbots and move on as the seaosn progresses ,

My pup at just over 11 month is entering like this and she is doing well, learning a lot and has really switched on now.

Up until now she was all pup, running about playing, different bitch now tough. !

Never believed in slipping pups in even though the majority do it,id rather wait till he or she is ready to have a go on there own and learn the trade for themselves

agree 100% only slip in that should ever be done imho is if a young pups meets mr right on wrong day , then maybe send in a seasoned soldier to put an end to it, and even then ya gotta question whose at fault, maybe not the pup?

they learn sod all from slip ins imho, gives em a false read of the workload they will face alone, maybe in the olden days this happened more and was even competed for was doubles, maybe thats cos they did not have the dogs we able to have nowadays ?

besides all the fair play buisness  how can ya carry a can of stella on a nice days coursing in the july heat when ya got a dog in each hand??? two dogs = no tinnies, the days ruined :censored:

this man is the worst in the world for slipping in i went out twice with him he let my dog do all the work then slipped his 4 year old pup in on me lol only messing but i will say 1 thing mate norwich lol what a day
