smoothfinish 26
Aup Lads I have just bought a secend hand Air Arms TX200 mk3. The bloke i bought it from told me it was 3 months old. Iv put about 50'' pellets through it. But all of a sudden a weird noise as started when cocking the rifle The only way i can describe the noise is like when a old door hinge starts to squeak. Iv used some bisley gun oil but still not helped as anyone had this problem before? does anyone know what it could be? any advise would be great thanks. Quote Link to post
Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
my old 97 developed a bit of a squeek on the underlever when cocking it. nothing major like but it was there, niggling away at me.! Quote Link to post
milegajo 595
Keep an eye on the linkage, what you describe concerns me due to Mawders' experience of his new prosports gouging out metal and emitting loud squeals on cocking. Could be nothing to worry about of course, but best err on the side of caution. Quote Link to post

Air Arms honour warranty claims, even for second user rifles. Send them the serial number and ask for the remainder of the warranty to be registered in your name. They will send you confirmation and also the date the rifle left their factory. Regards, Steve Quote Link to post

Its a strange sound i cant see any damage to the lever or the linkage im going to take it to the gun shop when i get time. One thing iv worked out is the slower i pull the lever the noise is quieter What do you mean by Mawders experience??? Quote Link to post

Exactly that, see article Epic Saga on here and airgunaddicts for pics etc. Think what you've proposed is wise. Quote Link to post

smoothfinish 26
cheers for that it sound a little bit like my promlem but theres no wear on the linkage so im going to drop it in at my local gun shop Quote Link to post
milegajo 595
Well thats my worry lifted. They are VERY straight forward to strip down, but I'm no expert and wouldn't want to exacerbate the issue with long distance and potentially incorrect advice. I'm pretty confident between the gun shop and Air Arms you'll have her back as good as, if not better than, new. Quote Link to post
