Coal fire smell , used to love goin my grans just for the fire

 

And the smell of smith brothers bone meal plant in Hyde , my dad was on call 24 hrs (spark) and on a night he used to wake and take me as there was no one else to look after me , the smell used to linger on you for days lol

The smell of Castrol R reminds me of being 16 on my Yamaha FS1E,also the smell of electricity reminds me of the amusement arcade as a youngster on holiday.The smell of sweat reminds me of the changing rooms at the local cricket club,and the musty smell of leather reminds me of sitting in my dads Rover 3.5 coupe pretending to drive it lol.

Yeah you can actually smell electricity,especially in an amusement arcade.

ice cream and paraffin, why those two? because the man who used to sell, boom boom boom boom Esso blue, was also the same guy who did the ice cream round on the sunny afternoons and evenings, so your cone stunk of paraffin. Mind you if you got brain freeze you could always warm yourself up by setting fire to your cone!! Food hygiene didn't exist in them there days and it never effected me...much....diphallia, a blessing or a curse? lol

the smell of permanent marker pens,also cant remember the name but wasnt there a glu that smelt like marzipan,jesus i sound like a nose bag druggie lol,rabbit casserole simmering on the rayburn for a few days used to make your nose run on cold winter evenings, as enid blyton would say with "lashings" of thick cut home made bread and butter,oh and my grandads pipe to mention just a few cheers
