Had a dog bred from hancocks taffy to a very greyhoundy lurcher x lurcher bitch many years ago. Very fast and powerful dog. I never bothered with fox. He was ok on rabbits, good on hares and shit hot on deer. Ran on all types of ground.

like the sound of saluki bull greyhounds many people working them how are they any pics would be good thanks

my uncle had one, it could do fox, deer, hare, rabbit. preban of course a fawn dog, didnt try it on black n white but i think they take a specialist dog anyway. the dog was in my eyes a proper allrounder.

My original plan when i was seeking out a lurcher pup was deerhound x with either collie blood or wheaten/bull blood or a mixture of any of the above... My plan was a dog i could/would bring everywhere and hunt almost every terrain... I struggled to find a pup bred the way i wanted so i have ended up with a well bred saluki grey, i will certainly try him on all quarry and across a variety of terrain and see how versatile he is

don't really think any cross in particular would be a great all rounder...

seen great all rounders from beddy x's,bull x's,saluki x's,and most of all just lurchers with a bit of everything in them....which I have to say I have seen a lot more of....you cant go wrong with a wee bit of everything in them....
