AKeeNShoT 5
I've got a litter of pups that are 5/8 bearded / border collie x 3/8 gh now the pups are starting to show good shape to them...... Nice long backs good feet broken coated and racey build to them .... Both the sire and dam have good build/shape to them so I'm not surprised the pups have turned out the same way.... So I'm wondering if anyone on here has used the same or similar type of dog ... I like a Hardy bunny basher that can be used day and night. ..... So just wondering how other lads have got on with heavy blooded colliexs Quote Link to post

AKeeNShoT 5
Yes mate my 3/4 collie bitch is a ultra stamina driven machine she is mint round the bunny sets and started showing great form last winter on the lamp so I'm looking forward to getting her out on good ground this winter. .... Just hope the're is bunny about on my permissions ..... Lol do you find your 3/4 collie does good on all ground types coz mine does she has surprised a few of me pals that thought she would be shite on short flat big fields..... She may not be as fast but she is agile and clever and only misses the odd bunny.... Plus she shows how her stamina out matchstick some of the other dogs.... If we stop for a brew she wants to play fetch while the other dogs are resting up.... It can be annoying [BANNED TEXT] she does this lolol Quote Link to post
pritch 335
it's like asking how longs a piece of string,it all depends on how you hunt, the terrain you hunt on i've had 3/4, 1/2, 3/8, 9/16 1/8 & a line bred that would probably work out around 5/8 & all have their good & bad points though i wouldn't go as far as 3/4 collie again as mine at 22 tts lacked the speed needed round here but other places she did fine & caught in front of much faster dogs 1 Quote Link to post
