Coney 3
Just recently purchased a HW100 thumbhole carbine and after several succesful hunting trips I can honestly say it's one of the most refined guns I've been lucky enough to own. The trigger set up is second to none and the thumbhole stock is a pleasure to hold regardless of being right/left handed, as for the loading action you don't know it's happening because it's so smooth and effortless. Plus theres no chance of double loading the chamber because of this unique design and the HW100 will not let you charge the air cylinder past 190lbs so there is no chance of blowing those seals. All in all a well designed piece of German engineering, some might say a tad heavy and some might critiscise the shot capacity of the carbine model, but I say please try one of these in the field before you dispell them as a contender against the mighty AA S410. Cheers Coney. Quote Link to post

Caravan Monster 323
I had a few problems from new with the thumbhole carbine version, but eventually, and after some shabby customer service, its all sorted and the gun is now faultless. Very quiet and smooth to use. Given the choice now, would go for the sporter stock instead. Haven' t noticed the weight over the S410 I had previously. Quote Link to post
Thrud 0
Had a HW100 for a while now Ian and had been very happy with it till it feck up think a spring has gone in it taking it to Keiths sports today to get it sorted . I have a HW100 and straight out of the box one of the pins in the trigger mechanism came out. Sent it back to Hul Cartridge and they fixed it and sorted the power out for me. Best rifle I have ever owned, the trigger is unbelievable. Quote Link to post
