Without wanting to turn this thread into a death penalty debate, Ive been closer to most to an execution (I was outside the gates of Huntsville in Texas to support a friend whose daughters killer was being executed) and when she witnessed the scumbag dying, his hands bandaged to prevent him from flipping the bird, she saw the fear in him and it was enough. No need for torture.

The build up is extremely humiliating to the inmate (and good enough.) They are asked to walk nicely, if not they have 12 of the biggest guards to make certain you 'play nicely' whilst being strapped to the gurney. Its not like the movies, all pally pally, give him a last smoke.

I disagree re. the death penalty, 40 years in a 6ft x 6ft cell with absolutely nothing but a seat and a bucket in it would be far far worse, but as we all know our silly friends at the human rights courts will make sure nothing truly harsh happens to him unless some careless prison guard 'accidently' lets another inmate at him

 

 

i think your right, ive spent the odd night in the cells for being pissed+ trouble, and only in for day or so.But to spend most of your life in like above, would be hell, no telly,no other person, just the bog and a bed, i dont think i could do it, i prob try to top me self. And if (did) treat them like above with nout else, that twat would whish he was dead . Just think about what freedom we got, walk outside on a nice day,take the dogs out,go for a pint, meet a nice looking women, and have a chat to another person if you wanted. even go on a comp lol.Well just think if he got(none) of this, just a cell and a bog+ bed, you would want to kill your self after just after a year never mind 10-15 years make the cu*t suffer

Cant agree with you there mate. He will be tucked up in a cushy lifers nick........on protection and a wing with a load of other depraved child killers/sex offenders........all swapping stories...........access to tv.......films.........reading materials.........3 square meals a day.

 

One can only hope that a lifer wanting to make a name for himself gets beyond the protection and disembowels the filthy animal.
