get agrip will you i dont see sky running whippet racing on a weekly basis or RTE TELEVISION putting on a full televised nights whippet racing as they do for the irish greyhound derby ! if your serious about racing dogs then there s no equal to the racing greyhound and if you want a real buzz get yourself down to clonmel next feb for three days of top dogs and top craic at the boyle sports coursing festival i might even buy you a pint

Well we're getting a wee bit off thread here, we'll be told off lol......................views on shows/racing.....................well in my opinion anybody that runs a show/race day or judges at one really don't deserve to be slagged off on here by anonymous posters. I think most folk that come on and criticise have never had the hassle involved with running a show. Most are content to turn up on the day, or maybe not, but then come on here and spout off all sorts of insults..............there is nothing wrong with CONSTRUCTIVE criticsim, but we all know some of the crap on here goes way beyond that...................what I cant understand is that if somebody feels so strongly about something to come on here and post about it.....................why not just have a word with the person on the day.....................severe lack of balls methinks.......................................A show/race day should be a bit of craic, a chance to meet up with friends, and enemies lol, and have a laugh.................not this win all at all costs/your dog doesn't work/ etc etc..................................what does it matter what someone keeps a dog for, as long as its looked after and is fit and haelthy! Only time I contradict what I have just said is entrie in the working classes.............................these should be for working dogs only........I personally wouldn't show a dog in the working whippet class unless it has claimed quarry.end of!!! Really annoys me when you see some of the entrants.........not a chance in hell they've ever chased a leaf never mind anything else.
