engineers & whatever else we want to train but if their is no industry to employ them what are they gonna do

over 3/4 of everything consumed in this country is imported & until we sort that out everything else is f****d

& will stay f****d. a lot of the industry we have here is foreign & is only here coz it can then say made in britain

& is then not subject to import tax in the rest of the EU nissan is a prime example all these firms would f**k

What dreamers like Pritch fail to realise is that business deals in reality !!........if you make the likes of Starbucks loose a percentage of their income they will just re-establish the percentage through cuts.....for the simple folk that means job losses!

That may have been the end result but it was not the stated intention was it? ........it was sold as a communist state for the workers was it not?

The point of the revolution was to do away with the "masters" and put the power and wealth equally into the hand of the workers with everyone having a fair share of the countries bounty I think

It does not matter what they called themselves, the fact remains that the USSR were not a socialist economy, but a State that capitalised on the soicialist ideal. An economy where the workers were all paid the same but the elite even had thier own lane on the motorways, that workers were not allowed to use.
