One classy bitch that I think deserves a mention is Hammy's Nancy ,the champion that never was from 1997,not trying to take anything away from J T's sniper,but in my own personal opinion,I preferred Nancy's running style and intensity,the course where she picked the hare up just before it got into that wood,then casually trotted away with the hare in her mouth was superb,as T H put it ,it's one hell of a run

different comp now a days pre ban the dogs earned the right to run not going through on byes and all that carry on best dog from the clubs ran in the comp not like now if you got the £££ your in

Yea but unless these dogmen in these clubs gave up over night, there must still be good dogs out there and the guys just aren't interested in the comp. no matter if you buy your way in, the best dog should win. Which brings me to the point I've always made. Even in the forleys height, there were good dogs and dogmen weren't interested in it so its never really been a completion that if you won it you had the best dog in the land. For a hell of a lot of guys up here, the fens are just not all that....
