johnny boy68 11,726
If Faletau hasn't forced his way into the 23 for saturday after todays performance then theres no justice, really seen today what Lydiate brings to the table, chopped endless players down before the gain line and if the Lions didn't get in and turn the ball over, then it was really slow ball for the rebels. Ian Evans played well today nicked a few crucial line outs today and was tireless with his tackling, Youngs was sharp when he came on, Maitland actually tackled everything that came his way and had a solid game, SOB was good today but did give the odd stupid pen away. Manu was impressive, especially in the first 20 minutes, the rebels were frightened to death of his power and his off loading and general awareness were good too, his performance gives Gats so many options for the midfield, great stuff.

TC Phillips had a shocker last week though T and he's been struggling with a knee injury, so maybe thats behind it.
Tiercel 6,986
The old pairing of Lidiate and Warburton could produce some turnovers, if they are allowed to compete for the ball this week? Youngs in theory should speed up delivery to Sexton and get JD2 /BOD in to the game closer to the gain line, giving us more momentum. Looking at the team it could work out well. TC I had a feeling he'd go with Dan as the Wallabies broke a few first time tackles last week, so no surprise he's tightening the game up. Toby has got to be real unlucky not to get in the 23 but SOB can cover all the back row, Croft(unlucky not to start) is cover for the locks. I hope Young's has a good game and dosen't try to rush things too much, he's a great little player but can be prone to running up a blind alley at times but I've a feeling he could be the Lion's "ace in the pack" especially with quick ball. I'm glad he's stuck with Davies has he's been the best centre on tour imo. If we get an injury in midfield then Gat's will have to shuffle the backs a bit, I suppose Farrell is covering 10, 12 and 13 though Bowe is a good centre cover aswell, be interesting to see how he manages the back line if theres any injuries. I'm a little worried about the replacements tbh, I thought he may have picked Manu on the bench to come on and make a impact after 60-65 minutes, other than SOB the bench is lacking a little impact and more safety first.
