Sandwell Field Sports Hw98

hi

nice group Si

i have had the pleasure of shooting this SFS HW98,and i have to admit it is really nice to shoot  first time i shot the bell target test i got 10/10 with ease!

its ideal for H.F.T as it has the adjustable cheek piece, adjustable butt pad, ambidextrous stock, nicely fluted fore stock for your finger grip, and nicely balanced and good weight to

the lads who shot it at the AAOC meet were impressed!

hardly magic Si,i am a very fast learner, and what John showed me is pretty much easy for any fettler, its just having the balls to do it.especially when someone is watching there pride and joy been taken a part, and things heated and cut and grind on a machine wheel.

i got the HW97 down to 10.4 now and i shall be taking it to the club Wednesday to try it out and calibrate it  the SFS spectra is shooting well too

just need to fettle with the two AATX200's now :boogy:

Yeah I took the 97 and Spectre to the club tonight mate.

Ive put the HW silencer back on the Spectre and using AA Field pellets its stupidly accurate now at 10.7 FPE.

It hates H and N now though and will only group at best 6cm at 27 yards.

I think it down to the harder lead on the skirts of the H and N not deforming into the lans and grooves of the rifleing aswell at a lower power.

I shot a 20 shot group at 27 yards that stayed under a 1p tonight with the Spectre using AA Fields.

Next time I come shooting with you the Spectre is coming out to play.

Si, my only worry is this, sometimes you get a sticky knockdown, now i know there all checked before a comp but even so, you still get one or two, and im wondering if 9.4 would be enough to knock a "sticky" down ! At my own club its been known that rifles near the limit just about knock em down, but rifles way under ( 9 ft lb ) have trouble on occasion. just a thought.....
