Enjoyed the show Dessie ,,,A great day out with like minded people, caught up with some old friends and met some new . Wish everybody would see shows like that ,,too many aul dolls on here and other f

Cracking show dessie, had a real good day out. if your dog wins or not, it's still a good days craic.

Totally agree with vermin catcher. There's too many shows on this that get a lot of undeserved stick and grief, and mostly by people who weren't even them. Like I said before dessie great show.

What a disappointing day, drive over an hour to get my dogs judged by a complete Plunker ! How can his final champion lurcher be placed second to j.humpries dog in a class and then go on to win 2 more classes and win the final? Please explain this? Has the dog changed in 10 minites or did he visit spec savers!

Lurcher Judging was terrible , of all the nice bull cross dogs on the field he picked out had to be worst looking dog there! Big flat feet, no shape or condition in him at all, kennel sores u cud see a mile away,y cudnt the judge cudnt find them!funny how the same man won best lurcher pup with a big fat bull cross pup. And in the hairy dogs he picked the smoothest dogs in the class! Never again disgraceful

How can that happen , to get second in one class and then end up winning the whole thing? Was someone whispering in his ear what to pick? Is that even aloud to happen?

Yes this can happen if someone has a dog in the wrong class for example if a smaller type dog is pit into the fox class a dog could be better suited for foxes could beat it but then the smaller dog could win a lamping class and end up in the final along side a dog that beat it and as the final is not judged by class but on conformation and condition etc the dog that came second to another could quite well win the final. But as for today I didnt notice the incident to comment but I did see the judge drinking cider in the ring ??? Very unprofessional and in all I thought it the most irratic judging I have seen in a long time. The only explation I can come up with for today's lurcher judging is due to some of the assholes on this site mouthing off about what a dog should be used for I think the judge had been instructed not to pick any thing too show like and to make sure a working dog won

Judges being instructed what to put up????????? I would just put it down to the judge not favouring the more showy lurchers, and as for drinking a can of cider.............I think exhibitors have been more "unprofessional"...................... in the past I had to ask one guy to either finish his phone conversation or just go out of the ring as I couldn't even get my hands on the dog, another stood eating a burger while I tried to go over his lurcher.............another instance I couldn't get near the dog for the exhibitors children!!! All part and parcel of the terrier/lurcher/whippet show scene I'm afraid lol
