Deker 3,478
I can't see a picture but there are many reasons why deer (much wildlife) can end up with scars. It could have been attacked by a fox or even bird of prey when it was young, barbed wire, broken branches, Hawthorn, etc or even had an argument with farm machinery, many other possibilities as well! air gun ant 1,666
Was it a buck or doe? If it was a buck it could be battle scars? Quote Link to post
raptorman 6
heres the deer i was taking a picture of, mind this deer was 150 yd away ,so pic is not great, looks like a nasty scar down its flank Quote Link to post
roe-buck 63
Looks like a Doe to me,very small pic.It may not be a scar, they are moulting now, going from Winter to Summer Pelage, the fur can come out in clumps and look unsightly.Hard to say with such a basic photo Quote Link to post
