paddybhoy07 0
I was wondering if anyone has used goose rag decoys and what your thoughts are on them as I have the chance of some of a friend cheap
The Seeker 3,048
Seen them used quite effectively at Wigtown bay, a fowler had about 40 mixed with some solid decoys and it certainly fetched the geese in,(or maybe it was my good calling....)

remi700 99
Should work grand early season or mixed into a spread of full bodys and shells to bulk your spread. If your working resident geese week in week out they will get wary of them. Keep your spread changing throughout the season and you should shoot geese from the first day to the last. We usually start the season with just a dozen of the worst looking decoys we have then step it up as they get warier to bigger spreads. Then for the last few weeks of the season we go back down to small numbers of top quality full bodys. Atb Mark
elmathud 25-06 0
If they are cheap enough then give them a go, but i would only do this early season as said before they will get very picky to what they will come into, late season you could use them just a little past your pattern incase the birds fly over your main pattern you might just slow them up enough to get that extra few seconds to get your bird, Got nothing to lose in my eyes.
