engraver 44 Posted April 28, 2013 Report Share Posted April 28, 2013 Its funny isnt it when you have a few permissions on your plate, and you hear nothing from the farmers for months on end then it gets to the point where they start drilling the corn and barley this time of year and suddenly they all want you at once. WILF 47,022 Posted April 28, 2013 Report Share Posted April 28, 2013 I never sicken of killing crows mate, went to the crows this afternoon but when I rocked up the farmer has obviously drilled beans this week and the field was lifting with pigeons......so, not being one to look a gift horse in the mouth I got stuck into those instead. But I have to admit, I do like killing them crows and once you have a few dead crows set out they just howl into the deeks Quote Link to post

But I have to admit, I do like killing them crows and once you have a few dead crows set out they just howl into the deeks Tottaly agree we are over run with the crows at the moment,I have been laying up in the hedge of a popular crow field with good back stop, and rifling a few at long range off the floor,as a change from the shotgun good sport with the 17 hmr or the 22 rim,trouble is there doesn't seem to as many people doing the crow control these day's,and a week with the shotgun in the hide,seem's top make very little difference at all its a on going battle, Quote Link to post
engraver 44 Posted April 28, 2013 Author Report Share Posted April 28, 2013 Ive done over 300 I would say in the last 3-4 weeks well I should hope so anyway as Ive pissed over 500 shells into the wind Im into my third box. I did 38 wednesday afternoon and loads of 20-25 bird days as Im having some time off work at present so Im out everyday Ive had a 4 week binge, best 4 weeks shooting of my life. But you got to double your netting and tighten those chokes for the buggers and above all dont move a muscle until they are on top of you baby. Im having a pigeon drowt for the last few days Im getting nowt but the black stuff crows rooks jackdaws but Ill take em all day above pigeons, Plenty of time for the woodies later on eh. 2 Quote Link to post
