albert64 1,882
after working away in dundee all week i needed to get out and get some ferret food my plan was to go out saturday day, but two lads let me down on a job so i had to go got home about 3-30, checked the airwolf for power and air and off i went my plan was to shoot the railway bank as i cant ferret this and it holds plenty of rabbits checked zero and got myself settled next to a big patch of nettles waited about half an hour before the first sign of movement, then two rabbits break cover at full speed chasing each other around then they have their stand off and one takes an h&n ftt to the nut they other one ran towards the patch i was lay down next to, he got to within 15 yds of me and stopped he stayed still to long and went the same way as the other, it seemed like ages before anymore showed that were worth taking there was plenty of young popping in and out, i looked over my shoulder and there was a rabbit sat abou 75yds away so on my hands and knee's towards him got to about 60 yds and could tell by his posture he new something was about set the rifle down and lasered him at 58yds and took him out, he just dropped where he sat went and picked him up and lovely shot placement right behind the eye i moved down to the road corner and set up about 45yds at a right angle from the road and the railway i could see rabbits moveng in the briars on the banking, but they would'nt venture out into the field the light was fading when i got my next chance and i took 3 nice big rabbits in no more than 10 mins so ended the evening with 6 big healthy rabbits and saw loads of young about so they should be ready for the taking in the not to distant future must say i'm realy loving this airwolf and .177 cheers albert 1 Quote Link to post
