jigsaw 11,863
REW its all ferreting at the moment, havn't started yet as its still too warm but no too long more now, plus my hunting partner is knocking up brownie points with his lady.Hes spoiling her all the time now so when we start hunting he can dissapear without getting the finger wagging treatment.Hes just coming up to 11 months old now(the dog not my hunting partner ).Thanks for the comments Frank,Rabbitin girl.I've had a few days with the easy purse netted warrens,he knows what the thumping below ground means. His retrieving is not great I'm afraid.I have tried to get him retrieving with dummys but no interest has he in any of it.I make it into a game but he just doesnt want to know.Hopefully as he matures he'll respond. Now working him with the field nets is filling me with dread, but I'll get over that hurdle too when it comes. Staffman the wee one is sitting at my feet in the hallway as I write, time will tell but it isnt a good omen when 2 X4 month old pups steal her food and bully the shite out of her.Time will tell.
