Marksman 934
It will seem harsh at first till is run in mate I have 2 of them myself, one tuned, the other Im waiting for the kit to arrive, once theyre bedded in mate and re-lubed a couple of times it will be almost as smooth and as quiet as a PCP They ARE the best spring rifle made in my opinion anyway..... A 100% good buy!! If you need any other help with it just drop me a message mate Darryl 2 Quote Link to post
sparkycrew 22
Thanks darryl, had a really good day with it today, unfortunatly we were shooting in 20+ mph winds,it blew my heavy target board over several times, however my lad managed to hit a drawing pin at a measured 25 metres 4 times in a row,its a beutiful rifle and iam so chuffed we got it,we were saving for a pcp but iam so glad we choose a quality springer first, its defanently a keeper,i can rest assured i wont ever need to upgrade to a better rifle regards nick Quote Link to post
Mawders 595
Glad to see your loving the new rifle, I'm jealous only because I so wanted the two pro sports I briefly owned to be THE only rifle I would ever need! It wasn't to be. Quote Link to post
gurtwurz 792
Glad you like it mate, and hope youre spared the problems some of the lads have had. Mines still going strong after two hard years of use, apart from a sheared bolt on the cocking linkage in the first week. Since then, no problems,a lot of dead squirrels, rabbits, pigeon and knockdown targets at hft and a big sh@+ eating grin on my face every time I shoot it, which I reckon's the point of owning it, really.. 1 Quote Link to post
fxshooter 18
Sounds like you are enjoying your Pro Sport, they have got to be one of the best looking air rifles on the market. I bought mine S/H back in February and due to the awful weather and work commitments I have only just started to shoot it regularly now. Mine does have a very noticeable recoil to it, and I would welcome any advice about if it needs a tune or not. My Pro Sport is also very pellet fussy, shoots like a dog with JSB's exact, but since I changed to Air Arms Field last week it is much more accurate, and therefore a lot more fun to shoot. As a newbie I am still learning the techniques of shooting a spring gun, which is fun but can also be very challenging. Keep us updated on your Pro Sport. Atb. Russ Quote Link to post
sparkycrew 22
russ,me and my lad are new to rifles,to be fare he shoots scorpian cadets,22 bulletin guns at army cadets so hes better than me,he was hitting a drawing pin at 25 metres regular yesterday in a howling 20+ mph wind,we have a long way to go before i would say we compittant with it but thats the challenge for me,i love the rifle its a classic and yes there will be days when it frustrates the h@ll out of us,by then my lad should have his pcp to play with, strange about the pellets mate i understud jsb and air arms field were the same pellet Iam a bit worried about comments regarding reliability of the prosport though, i know the rifle will always be able to out shoot me and that at least takes away the thought of is it me or the rifle thats performing badly yeaterday wasnt the best day to befare regarding consistant accuracy becouse of the wind, also i didnt know what pellets the previous owner had used,so we were just throwing lead down range and having a giggle, we improved loads through out the afternoon though and finished by hitting a cigarette filter at 25 metres, only my lad had to go one better and deform the pin holding the filter to the backstop, will post some pics when ive resized them sorry about the text wording god knows how i managed to change it regards nick Quote Link to post
