Big Cats - True Or Not?

Recommended Posts

There were patches of ice and snow so could the cat ( if it was a cat ) not have had its claws out to hunt/keep its footing ?????

:hmm: There's always that possibility socks. I'm also starting to realise how interesting the location is, to me. Did you give us a date? (Sorry, it's all getting lost in a sea of multi quoting and horseplay here)

Best I can really do is to suggest, as above, you have a squint at Google. Any tracking web site should show you the differances to look for in cat / dog. And I believe you'd have a better eye for that photo. Because you know what you're looking at, if that makes sense?

To me that photo looks more like a dog print,I used to work with exotics and see tiger lion prints daily much rounder than that, from what i remember.Another thing with snow prints is if a track gets sun hitting them it can melt the edges making them look bigger.

Why not take a copy to your nearest zoo ask one of the big cat keepers.

seen a small jungle cat in a guys freezer, he shot it with his .222 and was having it stuffed.

size of a big tom cat but spotty like a leapord

Was it a Bengal? I caught a Bengal in a cage trap this winter at work which was lucky I'd seen it before the keeper and the dogs did so it got reunited with its owners.

I was out lamping one night, just me and the dog walking down a sunken path in the dark, deep wood on both sides, and some thing was shadowing us along the the ridge to the left, never saw anything, but it certainly freaked me out a little, the dog was scared too, and that dog was scared of very little. That really is what made me worry a little, as the dog would of shot in if it smelt anything normal, not afraid to say we made a quick exit lol.

It always comes into my mind when reading these sort of threads.

the darkness, out of place noises, and a bit of adrenaline can help along the imagination a bit.

It was Jimmy Savile

Spot on Pete, if the government had proof of anything there is no way they would tell us. I used to know someone who was in the army and was involved in the hunt for the beast of bodmin moor (for those old enough to remember that) :) He said that they were tracking human prints that just dissappeared, not a trace, dosent sound that big a deal but it was enough to spook him and he wasnt exactly a shrinking violet and remember we only know, what they want us to know

When I was a kid on holiday, driving accross Dartmoor, we stumbled accross a sheep massacre, loads mutilated..............took pictures and when we got them developed at boots, every shot came out fine except the sheep massacre photos. In my mind back then I thought it was not a coincidence and I feel the same way now

UFO's...........a retired U.S. fighter pilot was stationed over here and can now discuss events over the UK as it has been declassified. He was ordered to fire everything he had at a radar fix the size of an aircraft carrier that flew away at mach 9!! Saw it today on the T.V. and the chap himself explained this. This was in the early 60's I think. If the government knew nothing why order him to fire everything at it and a 60's plane or even a secret one doing mach9.........doutfull  Anyway it keeps my mind busy :)

UFO's and big cats now we're talking. :D

I got the print of google ... The picture I have shows a third lobe ... Faded but its still there ... My bitch is 50lbs and 24 inches ... Look at the size difference in them two prints ... If that's a dog it must be the size of a Shetland pony ............
