Big Cats - True Or Not?

Recommended Posts

I was out lamping one night, just me and the dog walking down a sunken path in the dark, deep wood on both sides, and some thing was shadowing us along the the ridge to the left, never saw anything, but it certainly freaked me out a little, the dog was scared too, and that dog was scared of very little. That really is what made me worry a little, as the dog would of shot in if it smelt anything normal, not afraid to say we made a quick exit lol.

It always comes into my mind when reading these sort of threads.

the darkness, out of place noises, and a bit of adrenaline can help along the imagination a bit.

the comment on the pic

"WARNING TO ALL. please share. Bwlchgwyn Wrexham Area
This Foal was new born this morning on the Matheron Stud and at some point during the day while out in the field, it has been killed.
With large wounds to its neck. This foal was by no means small and sharing the field with its mother and many other horses, what ever killed this foal must have been large and attacking during day light hours."

"There's been lots of sightings of a black panther in brymbo too, unfortunately same thing happened to one of our newborn calfs only last week!"

"I saw a large black cat crossing the road at cefn y bed a few weeks ago, I didn't say anything because I thought Id just get laughed at, I only caught a glimps of it, but it was bigger than a fox, dark possibly black and a long tail. There have been reports all over the country."

Sorry, WXM. That's just more of the same old. " The moors are just across the road. " " We have tracks in the garden snow. " I mean!

I'd like to down load that shot and examine it. But it won't let me. Much more to the point, I'd like to have got there myself, before the scene was trampled. Never really going to happen though.

No. We just have a posting on FB. No verifiable facts. More chinese whispers. Personally, I don't try to extrapolate anything from that sort of mumbo jumbo.

I'd simply repeat: Absolutely Nothing about that photo suggests cat.

if there was any number of big cats out there, im sure there would be 1 or 2 involved in accidents, and killed crossing roads or motorways every year, but iv never seen any evidence of that happening. no dead cats or anything.

Anyone know what a typical cat kill looks like?A few years ago came across a badger carcass, skeleton intact with the head and paws still attached. On mentioning it to the farmer he replied "that'll be the cat had sheep eaten the same way"seemed very matter of fact about their presence, not a believer myself but both he and his wife claimed to have seen something large and catlike on the land...
