How old are you mate ? Your going to do more harm than good running a pup at 6 month old . My advice would be spend the next 3-4 month training the pup bond , recall, retrieve ,sit ,stay etc socialise with other dogs , stock - break etc take it slow and the pup will be ready to run some green bunnies come September . Atb

Exactly what he said mate, be patient (you'll need to be with a full sighthound mix like yours) you'll get more out of the dog in the long run. Its not set in stone that you shouldn't run bunnies spring/summer, but its not being respectful of the breeding times.....let em build up their numbers more to go at in Sept when you've got the basics down training wise. An untrained dog is just a massive arse pain...no joy in it....either you'll get pissed off cos the dogs just dickin around d not listening or the dog'll run itself into the next county. Good luck mate, credit to you for not just assuming you know it all, nowt wrong with asking for advice.

ur dog will only be decent at about 2 n a half. you shouldnt be lettin it run anything that young. if you had any sense ya would have seen ppl say it on this site. 6 MONTH FFS. its like puttin a toddler in a ring for a couple of rounds, you'll make it sick

Let it enjoy the summer and maybe think about taking it back out next season , i would let a dog that age see a bit while i was out ferreting but i wouldn't let it course a rabbit
