outandabout 27
Checking one of my monthly contracts today and found a baby rabbit inside one of the large bait boxes. As usual I tapped on the top of the box before opening (no snap trap inside just a monitor) nothing came out so I opened the box and it was just sat tight in there. 'cos the terrier was in the van (food premises), I just let it go. This is the first time I've encountered anything other than the odd live mouse or dead rat inside boxes. I'm interested to hear what oddities other people have found in their bait boxes... Edited April 25, 2013 by ekpestcontrol Quote Link to post
Outlaw Pete 2,224
Had a Wren once. Killed in a Little Nipper trap I'd put inside a custom made box. This thing had opposite sided little tunnels in it. Each leading to a trap. The tunnels were probably 1 1/2" square mouthed. Then crossed by three baffle wires. Bloody thing still got in there! I was so disgusted with myself I never used that set again. I threw it out, recently. Some eight years later. Fed up with it knocking around in my store. Quote Link to post

Matt 160
An adder. Lots, and lots of slugs and snails, several rabbits, bumble bees nest and some other oddities. No longer do much pest control, now % moles. Quote Link to post
outandabout 27
No longer do much pest control, now % moles. I'm envious, I really enjoy mole work but it doesn't seem to be in high demand round here. I get a couple of jobs a week at best. Quote Link to post
