Dark Polecat Hob

Hi does anyone have a dark polecat hob they would be willing to lend me to breed with my jills in the lincoln area, a good worker would be prefered but if not doesn't matter would be prepared to pay a small fee for there use

Why pets? Ive found any ferret can work if you put the time into them im wanting to breed to replace my 1 that i lent out and dindnt get back. And ive bred ferrets before so i know how many kits they can have and what to do just to save people saying not to bother

I lent it to our matecoz his was in season before mine and he looked after them before but his terrier got hold of it and enough said

Maybe so but a lot of crap can be bred aswell.

Better to breed worker to worker.

 

I wouldn't take the chance of breeding anything into my stock just for sake of colour. But thats just my view.

 

Your ferrets your decision. Hope everything goes how you want it to.

My jills are cracking workers so no worries on that 1 and ive always had dark poles since i was a kid just my preference, and i always tend to work an albino and a pole together so you know what ferrets where on big sets

Im sure it shouldn't be hard to find a dark coloured polecat that is a really good worker.

I would give that a try, and if you cannot find, and are determined to breed, then just go for any type of Hob as long as its a decent worker.

Me personally, size of the Hob is a priority over colour, as i like a smaller type hob.

I prrefer smaller hobs thats what mine was, but im not bothered about the size as the last few litters ive done my jills have had small kits even with different hobs so just any dark poley will do worker or not.
