Born Hunter 17,751
UKIP's Nigel Farage told the BBC Radio 4's Today Programme that "the people who vote for us are rejecting the establishment and quite right too". "Three parties, three fronts benches who look the same and sound the same and made up of people who basically have never had a job in the real world," he said. "But are they voting UKIP just to stick two fingers up and to scream very loudly or are they voting UKIP because we're offering positive policy alternatives?" "I don't think these votes are going away quickly," he added.

It will be all "protest vote this" "protest vote that" At least they will know we ARE protesting, it has to be a step in the right direction. it will shape there policy to some degree, so that has to be a good thing, its sad that they didn`t already know what the feelings were in the country but then again i supose untill any sort of election is due, it doesn`t really matter to them The people have spoken! The Seeker 3,048
Well done UKIP great results finally some credible alternative that the cant easily brand racist because they don't tow the government line. I will say one thing though I think Cameron IS starting to listen, he's said we will stop giving social welfare, housing and access to the NHS etc to stop migrants thinking they can come and jump on the gravy train and he's also said giving a cash payment of £750 million to South Africa will stop, and the money is to be spent on more practice uses for aid (building projects etc) What did Ed Miliband reply to this? That the Tories were going back to an Apartied attitude to SA. I mean FFS you could laugh if it wasn't so serious, I pray that that bag of shite don't get the reigns of power of this country for a LONG time. Come on UKIP!!!

Him or his like will not be getting my vote any sooner than I'd vote Tory.. Well maybe a tiny bit sooner, I'd rather stick pins in my bell end than vote Tory..

Cameron can say whatever he likes, what NONE of them will admit is that it dont matter what they say because they can be OVER RULED in Brussels.........he can talk big on immigration, foriegn criminals, this that and the other but what the Abu Quatada turnout has prooved is that while we are still in the EU our parliment is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard We cant do shit unless Herman Van Rumpoy says so and Cameron knows it !!!

RubyTex 1,957
It's quite exciting really, i'm loving reading the Mail online and their attempts at a smear campaign, all the comments are along the lines of "nice try Daily Mail, we're still voting UKIP". Farage has handled himself really well i thought. Obviously really chuffed but not getting ahead of himself. Loved seeing him sat having a pint, a fag and reading the paper outside a pub "Send in the clowns!"

Wasn't planning to mate, where's it flying? Waddington, Rhyl, Fairford airshows. Maybe some more but these ones are so far confirmed then it retires, Heres the politics bit to keep it in context really sad we can send millions and millions abroad to despot country's in the name of aid but spend a few hundred thousand to keep a true British pedigree aircraft flying and there's no money. If you ever get chance to read Vulcan 607 do so it's about the mission that sent one Vulcan bomber to bomb the airstrip on the Falklands which stopped the argentines basing fighters there. About 12 set off refuelling each other and dropping off until the final Vulcan had a full fuel load which gave it just enough fuel to bomb the island.......

I saw a program on it once, testament to what us Brits can do with the always seemingly basic tools we have at our disposal! Not that I'm saying the Vulcan was basic, but it was never designed to operate at anywhere near that range..

As you say, it's a true testiment to 1980's Britain. Nobody believed we could do it but a few Admirals in the Royal Navy. Edited to add; Another reason to vote UKIP, they back our forces 100% and understand the need for a world leading Blue water navy with an Independant Island state. The vulcan was based just up the road from me at bruntingthorpe, i also had the pleasure of seeing them operating out of Waddingtom in the early `s
