spiderfly 111
What game arent salukis suitable for in your opinion spiderfly , all coo dogs in thier normal enviroment run and tackle anything no problem desertbred by your name u love them so you will fight there name but fair play but read this and think again...Would you use a saluki with terriers while digging ,ie a dragging dog. there grip on anything that bites is poor its there phyiscal body not a dog to take a chewing from big game ive seen it time and time again people trying them when they just aint suited..lamp them tuesday night no doubt they take a fox but its an big effort and your doing more damage to your dog that whats its worth i believe myself a fox should be dispatched as quick as possible the time it takes this breed to do so just isnt suitable causes 2 much stress on both animals..then take them out again thursday dog sore it wont work and then give them a run or 2 on sunday and maybe a drag and see how long your hare dog will last then not a dog for the job and please dont tell me theyll do anything when any dog can do anything once but try and keep working them on large game.. This comment is my point they can stick in on again and give a hand but my point is you wouldnt keep just one of these dogs to do an all round job weekly.. And as for the F*cking dog thats painted they left out the other 3 dogs that they use out there ,or else they painted them in camo colours Quote Link to post

desertbred 5,490
they have used salukis for wolves jackals wild ass all of which kick and bite size determines they dont and never have been used for going to ground but in most Asian and Middle Eastern countries dogs are not used or bred for going to ground as more than likely they would encounter snake as well as any other burrowing animal. Well bred and worked salukis will not take a backward step I have a bitch here who took a fox at 10 months old single handed it was by accident she put it up while running free she despatched it as qick as any of the dogs people use regular for fox. pre ban of course. It would open a lot of peoples eyes about the tenacity of good salukis and the jaws of a saluki will crush a windpipe or neck as good as any other dog they have been purpose bred for thousands of years and will as stated run and take what they are slipped on even if they take a bite or a kicking they will be out as soon as they are able and carry on regardless. Look we dont live in the middle east ,IF my aunt had balls shed be my uncle, load of sh*t .where talking about our countries here and to be honest them mad bastar*s in the middle ease slip more dogs on the game than a pack of hounds...your dog killed 1 fox at 10months jesus my bull hound in his first season killed 38 foxes ,no doubt you dog that many hares pre ban but that her job..and looking at the dog they have in middle east there in greyhound in them and there style of running is to run it down to the ground and the quarry is wrecked , not like a bull hound first strike bang gone. as for power in jaws i cudnt dis agree more power god bless us let them jaw to jaw and see what power they hav fu*k all....No point agreeing when that your option but i guess you never ran a bull or collie hound.
