B.P.R 2,798
Good on you for doing what you're doing. I always say once any of my dogs quality of life is affected then its time to say goodbye and personally I think your letting emotion cloud your view with this dog. Like I said I admire what you're doing but personally I wouldn't. Good luck. ALRIGHT MATE. NOT BEING NASTY BUT ID HAVE PUT IT OUT OF ITS MISERY STRAIGHT AWAY. RUNNING DOG THAT CANT RUN,TAKE ITSELF TO THE TOILET,EVEN GO FOR A WALK. WHATS MORE HUMANE 10 YRS OF VET BILLS AND HASSLE AND A PARAPLEGIC DOG WHO NEEDS 24/7 CARE. FAIR PLAY TO YOU AND YOUR,S . I WOULDNT DO IT . But my question wasn't if the dogs a pup or a veteran earned it's keep or got potential my question is in a situation that say, your out lamping, dog hits an obstacle and it's holding it's leg up, what's the first thought that enters your mind the dog or what it could cost you? i think everyone would think about the dog and imo the best thing for the dog would of been pts... Really appreciate your points of view lads.... some 3-4 months ago... But im glad to prove yous wrong Edited September 9, 2013 by Blue Pocket Rocket 7 Quote Link to post
BORDERSCOT 3,816
We've talked at length about this Lee and to be honest I will never tire of seeing pics of Cassie and her progress... I shared, and still do share the views of the lads above, if she were mine I would have had her put to sleep - just couldn't have justified spending what you spent on a dog which, if we're honest here, will never be what she was before her accident.....and I know you are happy with my thoughts on this.... Tell you what though pal.....this is one of the best stories I've read on here....truly brilliant....and once again I take my hat off to you and Mrs BPR and BPR junior...your dedication and belief have certainly warmed the cockles of this ageing hardened heart.... God bless you all..... And keep them pics coming..... 2 Quote Link to post

But im glad to prove yous wrong if ever there was a picture that needs framing... seriously made up for you mate, i was on the fence at the beginning but i feel like ive had my view towards them totally changed purely on this thread. I remember saying to our lass as i read it 'aww have you heard this...' just as i flicked through the thread she'd ask me if she was laid next to me 'hows that lads dog getting on' haha! was like a new hollyoaks for her, waiting for the next installment Looks a cracking shot that, credit to you and your time, patience, and for making the decision in the first place. All the best to you and your pack and young lad for the coming season Quote Link to post
