Fieldsports 155
I made a expensive mistake this time.I had a sony VX range camera to use for the footage of my DVD's that I have available now and it seemed to work very well.I was talking to my so called mate who uses compact HD equipment to shoot motor sports and other race meetings, the results looked well and he sort of had me brainwashed intothe HD compact stuff. I sold the sony and moved on to the compact HD stuff.I went out yesterday and the lad who usually videos my shooting took the new HD I bought, he instantly noticed that the compact lens was way to much wide angle to get any detail into the shots. It also peed him off having to look at a flip screen as opposed to a viewfinder eye piece. So I brought the footage home and what a sham to be honest ! Rabbits looked like fleas in the distance and no one would know what I was shooting at if they never turned over to die and showed the white side.I was so disappointed as that was a right waste of a trip out to get footage.I simply formatted the camera, thats how bad it was.I was that sick of it today I travelled miles to collect a more professional camera with broadcast quality and capability. Here it is I have tried it and to be honest I am over the moon now I have a camera suitable of taking hunting shots. Now I can crack on with my Air Rifle Hunting DVD and get some decent footage. Thanks Steve Quote Link to post

Fieldsports 155
Bloody Nora! That's the real deal right there! Can't wait to see your vids mate. Phil I did a little bit of homework and these canons are producing great quality stuff. The lens on it is superb for close up shots and has just enough wide angle to show perspective of what is been shot. Any one want to but a full HD compact 1080p camera with loads of extras....LOL Thanks Quote Link to post

Hey sometimes when my usual mate who takes my footage is busy I am stuck, but I have tried other mates but they can not seem to get the hang of videoing . Most of them like to video grass and the inside of the motor,,,,LOL Steve Quote Link to post
Marksman 934
All you need to do is ask mate, I'm pretty nifty with a camera if I do say so myself. Might even get a bit of shooting in with you like we discussed ;) Darryl 1 Quote Link to post
