I have no idea how clever her sire and dam are ... They are good workers ..... She is a collie grey saluki bull .......

had he ever seen the parents are seen them run??? if he had well iam sorry, but he did write he didnt have a clue on how clever the parents are,but the inteligence must come from the bitch as you said 60% of the pup comes from the bitches line,

Iam sorry but clever dogs don't always breed clever dogs I've seen terriers and labs with more brains then some collies so that's not always the case also I've seen two good dogs prouduce shit dogs and two useless things produce the best dog I've ever seen run pups are most of the time a pot of luck in my opinion

:hmm:A working style lurcher,...will always benefit from having an enquiring mind,..and a readiness to accept training, is obviously a plus.... :yes:BUT,..the bottom line with any type of hunting canine, is that it also has the basic physical ability, to come to grips with its chosen quarry..

 

Just being canny,.is not enough,...it is but a small part of the jukel's armoury.... :thumbs:

That because I have been keeping lurchers nearly twice as long as you have been alive and the brains of the dog all comes under the title "working ability" and the sire and dam have more than proved themselves as workers ..............

Exactly .... This pup has caught over a dozen bolted rabbits ranging from ones snapped up from the warren entrance to some pretty hard runs across the terrain of the plain ... As you know mate no easy feat catching bolted rabbits there .......
