gutting mate how old is the dog will he last 6 months untill shes in season next,or have any of your mates got a good bitch you can lend to take a litter from?

ive had him 12yrs -they ether keep dogs or the bitches have only had 1 tidy season each-not the way i want to go ;) the bitch i lined him to is spot on and almost 5-everything else around me is diluted with something else and untried in my eyes-i have his son to another well bred bitch and wanted to line him to his half sisters from this litter-well that was the plan :icon_eek: never mind starting again it will be by the looks of it- thanks for the help men.wish you atb  cheers bobby

Bobby I not sure who does ot im in Ireland pal but I know its fairly straight forward and not overly expensive to get done. Im sure there is plenty of people who do it in britain. You could have pups off your old dog in twenty years pal be handy to keep ye line going if its wat ye want.all best lad

friday noticed that my patterdale bitch in pup was off her food-took her to vets saturday morning, checked her over said she had infection in the womb-was talking about hysterectomy and that-explained that it was the last possible time i could use the dog as he is so old and that i had everything riding on this bitch-dont have anymore bitches with enough work under their belts-anyway he gave me some antibiotics and said keep an eye on her and come back monday-brought the bitch home and put her in the whelping box inside the house-about 3 oclock yesterday she started labour and gave birth to 2 unformed pups :cray: -soon as i took them away from her she was up and about no problem-drinking and eating a little bit-she has gone back to her original size and doesnt seem in pain-no blood leaking from her-she is passing stools-abit small and black in colour-have been giving her natural yogert as my mate says it helps fight infection-she is bouncing to get out for a walk etc-worked out the dates and she was only 52 days-so she was early-do any of you think she still has fully formed pups that will arrive on the delivery day or not?was really hoping that she maybe had 1 good 1 alive inside?never ever had anything like this happen before so am abit spun out :bad: do you think the bitch will be able to have another litter next year or that its a sign not to try her again?in truth she is one of the best ive had the pleasure to work and own  if anyone has any constructive information please comment and help me get to the bottom of it-i dont trust any vet-hysterectomy?surly you could do a emergency c-section and she gets to keep her womb?thanks for reading bobby :thumbs:attachicon.gifBlackhearts Dogs 274.jpgmy bitch
