socks 32,253
Very useful tools at this time of the year when the young rabbits are getting through the meshes in your nets ...and as has been said very useful on roads ... I had a job clearing a stretch of the M25 and the bolt traps came in mighty handy ... Also real good if you are working a hedgerow on your own as you can cover the holes on the opposite side with bolt traps as you watch the nets on your side .......... 1 Quote Link to post
Country Joe 1,411
Very good Socks, my problem would be the otherside of hedgerows, as most are up to 10 or 12 burys all connected. Use to be a bugger on my own, now just go with cumbrianratcher and we use the longnets. Quote Link to post
socks 32,253
Another good use is where there are a lot of nettles or brambles .... Instead of getting stung or making loads of noise clearing the bramble you just push the bolt trap through them into the rabbit hole ....... 3 Quote Link to post

moxy 617
I have some with an internal door which stops the rabbits dropping back down the tube and blocking the main entrance to the tube. Tested and work ok. I was going to get a load made but the price for plating or powder coating was too much so it never went forward. If anybody is interested in any professionally made self colour tubes I can get you a price, but as always postage is the killer . 1 Quote Link to post

moxy 617
I cant take credit for these james, the idea partly belongs to somebody else and they are comissioned for manufacture with one of the countrys top wire workers. All i did was make a model they could work from and the leg work. Quote Link to post
