I bought one of these a month or two ago direct from the USA.

I had a few issues if I'm honest:

The ad said it fitted 99% of scopes on the market but it didn't fit my Hawke sidewinder or MTC Viper. They say it fits scopes with a diameter of upto 50mm.... Yeah, it does, but not if you want to secure it! 50mm seems to be the inside diameter of the tube that goes over your scope. The problem is that there are "feet" on the 4 knob screw things that reduce the inside diameter to less than 44mm. Also, one of the knob screws obstructs my bolt which I didn't realise until I had spent ages getting the camera aligned just right and wanted to load a pellet!!

The App displayed the reticle off to the right of the screen (I think this has been sorted since an update).

Other than the above issues, all of which I got over one way or an other, I really like it!

I emailed the company after I relieved it saying I was disappointed, expecting never to hear from them, and the main man emailed me straight back offering a full refund and apologies! Fair play to them. This prompt response inspired me to make a few adaptions to it and now I really like it!

Enjoy!!

I agree with all of your comments M4yge.

A better app than the iScope one is VideoZoom2, also 65 pence.

You will probably have to remove the rubber pads on the ends of the screws to make it fit your scope. The screws will now scratch your scope badly when you tighten them up!

There are some thin sticky felt pads supplied which are thinner and just stick on to the screw ends. Clumsy.

A better solution is to wrap something like a wide cable tie around the scope so the screws can bear down on that. Bad design, if the tube was about 4mm bigger diameter we would not have this problem. It does not fit any of my 4 scopes with its rubber pads in place, Nikon, Simmons, Hawke Eclipse, Hawke NighEater. Really stupid.

Once you overcome these irritations it does produce good results.

You can leave its main tube attached and remove the bit the phone attaches to (one thumb screw) and use the scope as normal.

Tonight I am going to try it with night vision, could be interesting.

I wrapped electrical tape around my scope until the iscope tube was a tight fit then just scerewed the screws straight onto the tape without the feet! I also spent a lot of time getting the tube level and the squirted some tip ex through the screw holes so that I can quickly align the holes with the white dots and know the crosshairs will be level when I play it all back later.

Night vision!!! Tell me more! How did it go? What's the set up?

Cheers
