One of mine was the big cold snap couldn't really travel far so local for foxes was all we could do with only 2 dogs, 2 hours after leaving the house we had to stop the dogs after finding 12 foxes to ground, would love to have had double the dogs that day as we only tried 2 areas local to us!

Best weekend that sticks in my head was on a invite from Dee and his mates, some craic whole weekend and all dogs bang on! First dig of the weekend think 7ft and about 7 very hungover lads to Bodie being my fav. weekend that I'll never forget!

i can vouch for lukey a good keen lad who lives for his dogs and one of the few who listens to what you have to say and does not think he knows it all and i seen the pic s of said day he mentioned he s def not a keyboard hunter like most on here and has no reason totell lies from my experience !

I reckon any day any man or woman puts there terrier to ground and gets the result there after and terrier out safe is a good day,but 1 particular day comes to mind about 5-6 year ago.We had been out early on a sunday morn and had a straight forward enough dig to a bitch i used to have and then the heavens opened,i mean it rained like i had never seen before so we made for my house and when we got there we were soaked to the skin.We had a cuppa and a bit of banter and then 2 of the lads decided they would head of home as they lived a good distance from me,WIPEOUT of here was 1 of them. That left my diging buddy + Dez a chap that used to dig with us and myself.About a half hour after the 2 lads were gone the rain died of a bit so we decided to go back out again as we had a black dog that we recently bought in and wanted to try him out .I went to an earth not far from me and we entered the dog and he was away and on in no time.We dog to the dog at about 4ft where he had 6 pushed up tight in a stop.I put the shovel down in front of the dog and we removed the 6,then lifted the shovel but no dog so Dez located him again in a different part of the earth working away.We dug to him again this time with 2 pushed up tight so 8 in total, best ive ever had,so when we were finished backfilling i just had to phone the other 2 lads just to really piss them of,lol.

one day i remember is many years back and with two mates we had travelled a fair way on an invite i had a young dog named bodie that i had bred and he had a few digs under his belt but still very green arrived at farm and lads asked if i wanted to try pup i agreed and off we went we had a nice walk to first earth and pup was let go he made contact and we had a nice little dig of 2 to 3 foot to him job done the fella said there was another earth not that far away and it was nice walk back to yoke so lads asked if i was happy to try the pup again i said ok so off we went earth looked really good and off he went he soon he made contact and there was a right racket under ground anyway the dig was a bit deeper this time so we started down and broke through to him with a nice fiesty fox all was lifted and fox dispatched the young dog had taken a fair bit and so i put him on the chain we were starting to back fill when my mate says there s another one in there as lurcher was keen on the earth still but he said we ll leave it he s only a pup and he s done well so as they back filled i walked him to entrance and sure enough he pulled on the chain so i slipped him in and said nowt then i heard him fire up i shouts lads leave the back fill dog is on out far side of this lane my other mate says you hav nt entered that pup again i said i have and he s on ding dust so out we when and had him dug handy with another backed up to say i was chuffed was an understatement eventually got all tidied up and left pup back to yoke we went on to dig the mates two bitches and the lurcher killed a fox that he spotted out in open as we were digging to mates bitch so was a really stand out day for us all but my memory is of the day the young bodie dog annonced himself to the the world he s now 8 year old with more digs over him than i can count and is still going strong and is still the old dependable that always gets job done when called upon we have more good dogs a brother and sis of him plus newphews nieces etc but never got a pup out of bodie himself which is the only negative side to the dog but these things happen and anybody that knows or seen the dog work always go to his kennell first when they call with me .

I remember that day well dude. Was one of the best alright. Bodie announced his arrival in some style that day.
