Astral 253
Yes I dont think it will be long before all hunting bar pest control is banned. =( Pleasure hunting is a bit broad. I personally don't get the kick out of pulling the trigger, my kick is the walk, tuning into nature, and once I've bagged a meal, its making it into a delicious recipe that I truly love! They assume all hunters get turned on by the kill itself, which I find personally offensive!
coldweld 65
If you look at their Quarry list it will only take Pheasant and Mallard from them ! Brown hares, Rabbits and Pigeon all cause Damage.
danw 1,748
Since the release of game birds is already illegal over there they have no industry surrounding it quite simply they wont lose any money by banning so called pleasure shooting not so the uk who would stand to loose a huge amount of revenue of which a large percentage is foreign money coming here to shoot our game any one who thinks that we will loose game shooting anytime soon is simply deluded.

TwoSmokingBarrels 11
The legal drugs over there must cause the stricter licensing! Really sickening that they look to bring so much restrictions to shooters/hunters because of their personal opinion on it, its our enjoyment of the countryside etc, if we aren't bothering them let us be! Hope this doesn't go ahead in Netherlands because then other countries will just look for excuses to do the same thing and jump on the bandwagon!

The financial worth of the shooting industry will save the sport of shooting. I firmly believe that anyone should be legally allowed to go out and kill wild beasts, birds and critters for the pot and the pleasure of doing so........... without doubt that would be banned if it was not for the commercial side of the shooting industry. We can't even go out and shoot a pigeon purely for the pot without there being deffinate crop damage and other means of protection exhausted.............
