secretagentmole 1,701
Don't, just don't, forget it, give him amnesia, it is only effective as a short range club and then only one application. This is the legendary (???) SMK B2, a gun so poorly assembled it falls to bits if you lift it out of the box (ok a slight exaggeration but I bet it happened to somebody). they should be priced at around £40,actually they should pay you £40 to take it away. Suitable only for tin can plinking it really is not much use as an air rifle! Suitable only for hunting tissue paper at point blank range, power is not an option with it! Better looking at one of the Hatsan rifles, secondhand HW 35, 95, hell I would even recommend a Diana 280 over one of these (and I don't like Diana 280s)! MAIN MAN 277
great advice mate cheers! he wants a springer with some power now as he has out grown his little jap one cheers again.. Quote Link to post
andyfr1968 772
I was given a B2 a couple of years ago by an old girlfriend and honestly, it was a pretty much unuseable pile of junk. The barrel was slack in the jaws, the trigger pretty much needed two fingers to release and it twanged and rattled like no other gun I've ever used. That said, after a few hours in the workshop, a good strip, clean and relube, new seals and a more suitable spring I did manage to turn the dog into an OK little plinker for my boys to use. So unless you can get one for next to nothing and you're prepared to do some work on it then it's really best forgotten. As Mole's said, they're are plenty of alternatives. secretagentmole 1,701
What little jap one? The only Japanese air rifles I know of are the Innova and Ace! Little but powerful! Quote Link to post
MAIN MAN 277
i only said jap one as im not sure of the make! its a young lads air gun real light and small from a market, he needs something with a bit more power! I have looked on the for sale page here and they all seem to be precharged or to much money for him, he has been on about it for a while and we thought we would get him one for his birthday next week so if anyone has one suitable i would be very greatfull cheers. secretagentmole 1,701
Bristol eh? Have a look at this! http://www.bracesofbristol.com/stock.asp I would like to suggest the Hatsan 60 rifle. For £115 you get a gun that is also sold as a Webley Stingray mark 2 for twice the price! Using Crosman Premier Magnums I get good grouping and power level at 11.3 ft lb! Edited April 16, 2013 by secretagentmole Quote Link to post
