zini 1,939
Hi there lads, In these 2 episodes of VHTV (parts 1 and 2) I take another trip up to see my good friend and now other VHTV’s new channel sponsor, Tony Wall at Sandwell Field Sports. The aim of the morning was to pick up 2 rifles myself and look at what’s new for sale in his shop while getting his own views on different brand rifles that are sold in his shop at a budget price. Please enjoy and don’t forget to give us a big thumbs up if you like the episodes. Si & Davy Part 1 Part 2 3 Quote Link to post

secretagentmole 1,701
Interesting. Whilst not saying that they are the best in the world, he praises certain rifles I have been enjoying for years as being exceptional value for the money with a great trigger (Happy Hatsan Owners) and being very accurate! Mawders 595
Nice video mate, its always nice to see tony talking about airgun related stuff! He's a gold mine of information, I could sit for hours listening to him! I cringed when you were using the rifle with that scope cap cover on the end as I could see it was resting on the top of the gun, I was shouting at the screen, "take it off"! Then tony noticed and removed it, ha ha good to see your getting good results from the new rifle! Phil. Quote Link to post

Elliott 436
What a great couple of videos you've uploaded there Si. Tony seems a genuinley nice chap to speak to and looks like he takes such pride in what he does, I'd love a visit to his shop That 98 looks incredible too, it hardley moved when you pulled the trigger and wasn't even properly bedded in. Sod the Prosport, I think an SFS tuned 98 will be my next air rifle (if I ever find the funds to get one!) Thanks for uploading those clips they were real pleasure to watch Edited April 15, 2013 by Elliott Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Thanks everyone for the comments. We just wanted to do something different on the channel and now that SFS sponsors VHTV plus SFS as been mentioned in a few posts on here it worked out great to pick up my rifles and speak to Tony at the same time. Regarding the tuned HW98, well its something special indeed. After taking it to my local gun club yesterday to try some different pellets in it at 25 and 29 meters it just blew me away. The 2 groups I shot were dare I say it has good as i could of done with my HW100KT or Laura's BSA Ultra SE. I know that sounds bull s-it but its the truth and was witnessed by other shooters at the club. I think the barrel weight on the 98 really does have a lot to do with its brilliant accuracy coupled with the what seems a super fast lock time. When firing the tuned 98 its like shooting a rifle that just doesn't miss. Twice yesterday I thought id pulled the shot only to go straight through the same hole as before. The recoil after tuning is very light and is likened to shooting my S2 tuned HW97KT if im honest. Hopefully the 98 will continue to bed in nicely and stay in the 10 FPE power range. If not ill get it taken down to between 10 to 10.5 FPE. At the moment when I chronographed it yesterday it was doing 10.7 FPE. If you visited SFS Elliott im sure you would see why me and Davy and many others who use SFS keep going back. Yes Tony is a long time friend of mine but you also get first class customer service and after care along with a tuning job up there with the best in the UK. Quote Link to post
