My first attempt at offroading was in a heavily modded 90......I got it stuck, upto the axles & no chance of getting out without assistance. The 90 pickup that pulled me halfway out broke a halfshaft, felt a bit of a twat ruining the blokes day but someone else had a spare & with help (not mine) he was soon playing again. The lad who's defender I was in showed me how it was supposed to be done & had me shitting myself at times

Your not trying hard enough if you cannot get any 4x4 stuck

90s are reliable enough if they have been maintained and are maintained. There expensive compared to some other 4x4 on the market  is the high price tag warranted..... IMO its not

90' or the series are good off road, but what ever your driving there are places that will get you stuck thats for sure  . With a good series or 90 you stand a better chance. You will always need to tinker with them but at least parts are not expensive compared to Jap stuff. You dont need wide tyres either or half the gaylord crap people put on them.
