Why Is It Only Deben That Make Ferret Finders

Recommended Posts

It is not just ferret locators it is shooting accessories in general.I buy led lamps from the states to for on top of my scopes and with all the air miles and even even they get taxed by customers still way cheaper for something that does the same job without an english shooting brand name on. I am afraid the hunting fraternity in this country get well shafted as there is not enough competition

Nor demand, hunting related goods is a very niche market in this country.

Its a strange one is the ferret finder...look at how electronic bite alarms have evolved in coarse fishing, first we had the BJ (I kid you not  )then it was Herons (big improvement)then Dellareed ?launched the first Optonics :boogy: from there it was Les Bamford conversions (GPO speaker for higher volume  ) Delkim then did conversions with adjustable tone/volume/different coloured /latching LEDs(to save hitting the wrong rod at 2am :whistling: )then made them as standard with sound boxes if required, now they make them fully remote with a receiver for in your pocket(so you can have a brew with mate the other side of the lake and not miss a run  )the biggest change in the knocker box department is a search/locate facility :icon_eek: I know the fishing tackle industry is worth far more ££££££s but the amount of manufacturers of alarms is staggering. How can Deben still be the only manufacturer, and lets face it love or hate the MK3, that theres still a demand for MK1, at high prices too, speaks volumes.Try and sell a 15/20 year old optonic and see what its worth.....next to nowt (apologies to any non anglers for the history lesson :victory: )

Fishing is one of the most popular sports there is and hunters are a minority.
