Guest MOLLY
what people need to remember is there no set way for a pup to be thrown just because its a 1/2 x it dont mean it going to be heavy MOLL. Quote Link to post
Guest SHOT
pretty much what i said zap.before the other lad spat his dummy out. also asked you potfiller how much bull you thought was in this? seeing as you wouldnt want to go heavier than 1/4bull.she,s 3/8th,s very racey Quote Link to post
Guest MOLLY
A full 50% bull under 23" and just as racey Or i should say was...she's looking more like a labrador cross at the moment, bless her MOLL. Quote Link to post

BULL 96
hello bob the best bullx i ever had was a bull/grey x bull/grey it was the fastest lurcher i have ever seen and extremialy clever natural hunting ability was amazing very heavily built and quite long a strange looking dog caught more rabbits per night than my collie/grey. AND AS GAME AS THEY COME, has any one else had a 2nd generation bullx your thoughts (lets keep it to a qestion rather than a debate lads ) CHEERS Quote Link to post
J Darcy 5,871
I have seen racey 1/2 breds, and yet heavy 1/4 breds....just no guarentee how they will turn out. I have noticed one thing though, and thats i feel the 1/4 bred may be taller at the shoulder if a larger dog is required than the 1/2 bred.......good hunting... JD Quote Link to post
alimac 882
molly... as two are only 9 weeks iv only watched the other two work.. had a big strong first cross that was just to heavy for catching game consistantly, but was as game as they come ... i then got a first cross bitch, quick for a bull x , kean as mustard, but lacks a little fight.. the second cross( or as i should have said a 3/4 1/4) i mentioned was the big male first cross over a heinz variety lurcher, light and good with long ears... the dog i kept is looking good a huge chest and stride with a good dash of fire in his belly... but over all as long as there racey i dont mind what cross/percentages they are, its all well and good having a big strong dog but its got to catch its game first Edited August 3, 2007 by alimac Quote Link to post

Guest bullxgrey
The general debate among hunters seems to be bullx or not, love them or loath them I personally have a variety of different lurcher crosses .what I want to hear of you guys is what type of bull/greyhound do you prefer and why BULL/GREYHOUND 1ST CROSS BULL/GREYHOUND 2ND CROSS 1/4 BULL 3/4 GREYHOUND OR THE 5/8 3/8 I have just reciently bought a 2nd cross bull grey off a mate and we were speaking about the same thing today heres what we came up with......... a first cross or a second cross is in our opinion built for big game ie. deer, fox where as anything with little bull in it ie 1/4 to 3/4 is built more for speed so would be good on all game hare deer fox please correct me if im wrong terry Quote Link to post
