Inside Dogs Soft?

nah wouldnt say this is true, due to the fact that mine is kept in the house sleeps on sofa everynight and shes just as keen if not keener than those i no that keep them outsidebthe only down side is that the digs have much softer paws which tend to cut and graze alot easier. just my opinon though atb

They wouldn't have softer paws if they got correct exercise every day. Dogs don't exactly run for miles sat in a kennel any more than they do sat in a house.
could always invest in these, practical and fashionable

Labs Buzz has lost a bit of weight :D

Softness and house pets is not an issue, but I think obedience can suffer when dogs are kept in the house.

Kennel dogs are completely focussed on their owner and are more likely to want to please him or her.

House dogs have several 'distractions'. Radiators to lie against, cooking smells, children to play 'fetch' with or tug of war etc..Wives who spoil them with cuddles and stroking/ titbits when the dog has done nothing to deserve these rewards.

As a result the owner can become less important a figure in the dog's mind and the bond between dog and owner can suffer.

Or am I a nasty control freak? :whistling:

this question has posed itself over the previous couple of weeks, are dogs kept inside from pups "softer"? i dont mean coldness shivering etc, i mean gameness and the like. i dont think it makes any difference, its born with the dog. but i have heard they should be "hardened up" outside.

opinions?

heard people say this too,and its usually people that aint got a fcukin clue....:thumbs:

take it you keep your dog indoors then?

i know of a dog kept indoors and if you want to take it out when its cold or raining it bolts upstairs under a bed  where as a dog kept out side kenneled and used to a bit of cold and rain will work in it no bother. jmo

I know of a dog kept indoors (that's him in my avatar) who can't wait to get out, no matter what the weather.

No problems with the bond between us either:).

Yeah???? And know of 3 here who'll chew a hole in a door to get out with you if left at home...???? A dog kept outside should not be subjected to cold and rain should it??? A damp free and draught free kennel is a must??? No??? And as for getting used to rain in kennels - ????? That can't be good for them eh??? All jmo tho??????

In my experience, inside dogs or outside dogs, makes no difference, although the dogs that are kept indoors seem to understand every word I say, and I would say they bond just as well as a kennelled dog, if not better
