Lamped hare, daytime hare...difference?..f**k all apart from ones ran in daylight the other gets ran in the dark lol..if it gets caught its dying..same end result?.....back in the day of the late 80's

I find they taste the same as daytime hares.

ive ran hares on the lamp i think if there run regular you get some excellent sport ,i dont think its for failed daytime dogs ,yes they do make the odd mistakes but all lamped quarry does , they can

Any lamping man has the.rignt to lamp a hare if he wants.

Care to elaborate a bit more than that?

Or shall I just hit the big red button now?

hare is legal quarry where iceman is from

One mans meat is another mans poison and all that lol...enjoy working your dogs and let others do the same...

As long as whatever quarry caught is put to good use and not just hunted for sport to be left to rot, does it really matter if it is taken day or night,it is more likely you would get a more challenging run for the dog in the daytime, but lamping is more about restocking your freezer

it was up to the lurcher owner preban how he takes his hare.but i must say that i have preban seen lots of dogs take hares illuminatted by a 55 watt lamp.yet in the daylight these self same lurchers were just not good enough for daylight hares. i know you get the odd hare that preban ran well in the lamp.but generally speaking how fast and well would you run if someone was flashing a 55watt lamp into your eyes.the only decent courses in the lamp i have seen preban is when the hare was on the outer range of the beam and was not being blinded .nowdays 100 watt lamps are common .so i should imagine the poor hare is even running more blind .many times on moonlit nights i have seen average dogs struggle to catch a hare up because the beam is less effective.some lurchers even have a job catching rabitts on a light night especially if the rabitt has been chased before rabiits can show a surpriseing turn of foot when lamp trained..hares are getting so thin on the ground nowdays i would think lamping them with a 100 watt lamp is the last thing they need.i really do despair at the younger lurcher owners on here some of them have got buck fever and are not thinking of thier future sport at all.still in my youth i was just as mad for it.so i can understand it looking back
