Mines big -plenty space and 3 acres outside...have to laugh at the "whoa - don't keep working dogs in the house brigde" and they'll be along here soon - I know one guy who thinks all dogs should be outside no questions f**k me u should see his set up...rough and ready is a nice way to describe it... and stinking shithole would be more accurate mines happy and that's what counts... its personel choice mate, i dont believe in or out makes one scrap of difference to a dogs working ability, but for me the workers being kenneled works better, especially with all this wet weather in the last season or two, Quote Link to post

The whippets almost 2, lurcher 12 months and then a pup.... I use the whippet for ferreting, lurcher for lamping and my lab x bushes ( to a degree)... i would say they get their work and throughout the summer theyre out a lot....lure coursing etc....they get their exercise. But in no uncertain terms are they anything other than pets first, workers second. I have my dogs to enjoy them and let them enjoy themselves.... I have no kids, and a reasonable sized living room, so 5 don't really make it feel cramped, but it would be different in a different house. Quote Link to post

If mine come inside for a few days they usually end up getting in the way and getting bollocked up hill and down dale for nothing. When they are kennelled they get quality time with me when I go up to them and they are happy to see me. Not always the case but in my case they do better out of the way with their own space. A good dog person will have the bond regardless of house/kennel, a person who isn't that good with dogs, and keeps them in a kennel, is making harder work for themselves. 2 Quote Link to post

Got another terrier pup coming in 5 weeks time so that's how long I have to build these kennels then both terriers will be out side Quote Link to post
