i remember my father at 70 yrs of age standing at a place called leeden.crying his eyes out because the countryside he hunted as a boy was being concreted over .i didnt see any of you keyboard warriours protesting not a squeak.then they built southcott village.village whaht a joke.then came the fatefull day they closed down the branch line running from leightonbuzzard up to dunstable.the tracks were ripped up and for a few short years it was great a green passageway was formed.the hedges were tall and thick lots of owls munty truely wild pheshants hares rabitts .then we joined the eu and the great burning came .farmers were paid to chop down the hedges and they did no more owls no more muntys etc .but still they had not finished .tho i did not see one of you so called animal lovers protesting.then they said we need a bypass so the green lane was destroyed and a bypass was built not a squeak out of the rspca petra or leauge against cruel sports.a few weeks later drove down this new bypass dead badger laying in the road how many of you keyboard trolls stopped to pick him up and put him on the verge to rest ? out of respect i allways stop my car to remove dead animals if possible.now they are infilling all along that bypass building thousands of houses destroying all in there path.funny not one rspca or anti supporter protesting this destruction .went up for one last look with my friends whippets it was a great warm day and some children from the new estate were haveing a picnic as young kids do loveing it they were laughing and running around haveing fun .then i thought maybe when they are older they will remember that picnic and be full of the sense of sadness thaht thier field had gone/my mate woke me from my museings saying bloody hell after all of this building theres a hare .yes there he or she was laying in the sunshine totally unaware and innocent of the impending destruction.now they are going to build from leighton buzzard to a place called clipstone and eggington. a piece of land so large it would take you hours to walk around it all meadowlands cornfields all to be destroyed.it breaks my heart to think of the destruction.yes you guessed not a peep out of the rspca leauge against cruel sports or friends of the earth.those that are in close contact with the earth hunters fisherman etc know that the animals and open spaces are sacred and special .so rspca friends of the earth petra etc stop persecuteing us and start persecuteing the real villians .those who wish to destroy the sacred green spaces.if you truely cared about animals and the sacred spaces as we do then you would shed some tears also

For once a good thread from you, its happening near me they want to knock down a massive nature reserve to build a massive holiday resort and fill it full of caravans, its full of everything badgers, fox's owls you name it there there. Nothing easier than to persecute the common man,and his simple interests,I have wondered if these antis have anything of interest in their own misinformed banner waving lives,I have seen too much destruction of green places in the so called name of development,huge office blocks sitting empty in the hope that someone might want to rent it at some time,and the miserable new housing estates that are thrown up almost overnight,same old story money talks and everything else can go to hell
